bagged top soil

    guys i hate to ask such a simple question but i have searched extensivly and i cant find the answer .i need to convert 40# bags of top soil into 2.84 cu.yards . any calculations or formulas i can use ? i usualy buy in bulk but this is just for a ladies small flower garned. thanks.

    I believe those 40# bags are usually .5 cubic feet. Simply multiply 2.84 by 54 (the number of cubic half-feet in a cubic yard). Approximately 150 bags.
