I will admit, I didnt really think about bagging with my new hyrdo walk-behind when I bought it.

I see on the website they list one as a option. My next question is how well do they bag? I bag about 10% of my properties with my toro 44" and I hated every min of it. It would leave thin trails of grass ect. Just wasnt cutting it. Is the hustler better or do all walkbehinds pretty much do this?

Not all walkbehinds to what your explaining.
Buy a nice side catcher and make sure it is mounted correctly (may be a problem with your Toro? maybe?) and you will not have any problems bagging with your Hustler.
I would also run stock blades or highlifts for most bagging conditions.

Don't mes around wiht a cloth catcher. Get an accelerator or grass gobbler.
My 48" hustler WB bags great with an accelerator xl

I ran doubles on my old 17hp 48" and it would bag thick wet grass like a vacuum. Bagged just great........FWIW, I ran a gobbler.
