Still working on the new lawn. It's mostly centipede with Bermuda mixed in. But I have a lot of Bahia too. I hate that stuff. Is there anyway it can be treated in a centipede yard? Or is it something I have to learn to live with?

I've had great success using MSM with a sufactant but be careful around young trees or other growth as this stuff is pretty strong. I takes about 2-3 weeks to see the results but it will kill your Bahia.

How will it effect the centipede?

Can use vantage as well. Don't know how well it will work. Bahia is tough to get rid of.

Spray in .25oz to .30oz to the acre, in 2-3 weeks respray anything that is still green. It has a minor affect on the centipede but if you mix it carefully it will not affect it at all. I cannot emphasis this enough, spray a small area first with your initial mixture early in the morning before it gets too hot. You will begin to see results in 7-10 days, if it had no effect on the centipede your calculation is correct and you can spray everything. It will diffidently get rid of it. Also I think it works best if you have a good rainfall before the application. Drought conditions will lessen the affect.

Get MSM from DoMyOwn.com or DIY pest control.

Metsulfuron methyl is the chemical we're talking about.
