    Hi Guys and Gals,

I am putting in a bid on a new bank in town, the new main office of the bank I do business with. What do you guys think of my figures.

There are 13 islands with sod some with trees, some with beds, some with not much but bramuda.

58 trees trim and cut low branches and suckers $100.00 /yr
monkey grass cut once per year 380 plants $380.00/ yr
annuals change out 2 per year 130 plants $780.00/yr
shrubs spirea, boxwoods, evergreen 715 plants $2100.00/yr
fert chem apps 92000 sqft 5 applications $2300.00/yr

6900 lenial feet to weed eat or edge 92000 ft to mow 20000of which will have to be done with a 21" (too steep) 6 man hours Using 61" zeros 48" w/b 21 john deere.
$250.00 per service 26 times per year. $6500.00 per year

$12160.00per year. How does that sound am I close. usually I'm pretty good at this but I just want to make sure.

I want the job an I want it on a 12 month contract. It'll make the house payment!!

    Thanks Jim

715 plants a year? Where are you going to put them all? Or is that trimming them each year?

Sounds low on the trimming of the first 58 trees.

Umm, ok. I can't help you, but maybe Betts should read this and get an idea of a well thought out estimate for his 50 acre job?

Figures look pretty good but... will it really take 6 hours to cut place? Seems kinda high to me.. but I can't see it.

What is monkey grass and how long will it take to trim, clean up and dispose of it?

$100 seems too low to maintain 58 trees?

Are you trimming 715 shrubs? Once per year?

$5.00 per 1000 square feet for fert would be fantastic around here!

New installs on plants trim 3 times per year,

Monkey grass tufts of decorative grass with little blue seed type flowers. trim in winter and remove cuttings. I figured $1.00 each will take 4 hours.

trees are new installs will only have to trim suckers for first year.

    any more questions??

Like I said will be lots of hand mowing with 21".

    Thanks guys

Liriope is easily trimmed with a weedeater. Then just blow the debris in a pile, shouldn't take as long as you described. Other figures seem OK, except for the tress. Still think those are priced a little low. But it should average out.
