i have an old set that i think will fit from my boat trailer.
if i take them off the boat trailer is there something i need to do to the my trailer so they will work?
i can remember that a guy was tellme to remove the out-er washer so grease will get to the in-er bearing...but that does not make sense to me...
    thanks, ant

I just replaced a set of outer bearings on my 6X12. The trailer guru's in town said that the bearing buddies were not all that beneficial. My axle was tapered with a huge bearing inside and a much smaller bearing outside. There is a dust seal that keeps grease on the inside between the two bearings. by over-greasingg with a bearing buddy you risk blowing the seals. That is what they told me any way. Good luck.
