Looks great! I am getting ready to attempt my first hardscape project. It will be a small wall with a paver walkway. How deep is your base?
I hate to say it but those crappy looking houses are a distraction to your work....
We do 4-6" crush and run, then 1/2" of screenings. Where this pool leaked, we have an extra 2' of compacted gravel underneath.
Let me guess, your growing grass in that planter. Sorry dude, that straw stuff looks horrible.

Patio and wall look good, but same comment about the straw: ugly.
If they're gonna spend $15k on pavers, why not the extra $1k on sod?
We are going back at the end of this month and putting plants, water feature, and some flagstone steps, so why waste the money on sod.
