Belt Drive Question?

I have a 48" Lesco belt drive that is not pulling evenly. I mean the left wheel will pull like crazy going up hill but the right side seems very weak. I almost have to push on the right side to keep up with the left. When I go into corners and engage the right brake the power from the left wheel pushes the machine around with no problem but engage the left brake and you have to help the machine turn due to lack of power to the right wheel . Any Ideas as to the what the problem may be? Thanks

Sounds to me like the right drive belt is slipping. Check to be sure nothing oily got on the belt. Also, wet conditions or debgris buildup on the drive pulley. Or, maybe the belts are just getting worn or stretched if they have alot of hours on them. Plenty of things to check for, I'm sure you'll have an easy solution.

On my Exmark, and probably your machine, you can adjust the traction lever, this should help as well. Check the manual to see what the correct position should be.

Also check that the right side tire pressure is correct.
