I've finally decided to probably buy a new mower for a residential crew and focus more on sales and bigger projects. I have everything else lined up included work as I'm at my max at what I can do. What mower would be best as a compact 44 Gravely sit down or Wright 42 rapid height or sport(sentar). Toro and exmark would be great if they made a commercial compact. I really want to stat away from the 36-34. Almost all of my gates are 48 exact and I can't get a 48 through them. Mainly the thing between the gravely and Wright is the transaxle vs wheel motor. I feel the wheel motor is more commercial suited. I've looked at bobcat but they are heavy and I don't like the width of the tires.

Thanks, I've noticed the pricing they have. I just really want to know what unit is best and I'll worry about the price later. As long as I'm under 8k I'll be happy. Any compact unit should be under that for sure.

Toro has a 40" Grandstand. Very compact and agile unit. I have the same problem , I have a couple 48" gates where my bigger mower will not fit either.

between the two u said i would def go with the wright...but would pick the 40" grandstand on top of either any day...in my opinion the 40" deck is pretty much worthless tho, might as well get a 36

    I would go with the Gravely 44" ... I have the Gravely 34" and it's a solid machine !!

The 40" Grandstand does not get good reviews because it supposedly packs up and leaves clumps due to having 3 blades in such a small deck. The grandstand is supposedly much more comfortable than the wright though. Some people complain about the cut quality with wright. Bad Boy plans to offer a 42" stand-on in 2013. Hustler and Badboy offer a 42" ztr and Ferris and Gravely offer a 44" ztr

The ferris is way to heavy(300lbs heavier than the Wright). Hustler dealer is horrible here and I'd rather use a push toro than deal with them. I think the 34 gravely uses motors and pumps still on the hydro.
