2 ton floor jack that you probably already own.

 

Don't fit under the mower

 

I use my trailer ramp. If I was gonna go a different direction I'd get a 1000 pound trailer jack that can be rotated and weld the round tube to my mower and make a couple tube pieces to weld to my other mowers.

 

Lift the front end by hand, and throw a jack stand under the deck shell.

 

I do that with the WB but the stander is too heavy for me. I guess that's why people deadlift :/

 

I use an engine hoist. Lifts it much higher than a floor jack. Folds up pretty good too.

We have a forklift and the guys prefer the trailer ramps over that for blades. Run 1 wheel up so the other side is cantilevered off the ramp, do those 2 blades, then switch sides of the ramp for the other.

Trailer ramp until I got an enclosed trailer (with wired assist on the sides).

Now I use a Jungle Jack. Works perfectly. I even store it in the trailer and change blades mid-day (crappy lawns in the early morning, switching to nicer lawns mid-morning).

 

Comealong attached to an overhead beam and a tow chain. Arguably not the "best" but since it requires purchasing nothing new it is certainly an affordable solution.

My method too with a 4x4.

 

mine too, though I changed my blades last weekend and didn't bother to jack it up at all.

 

I just got a 48 inch stander that is gonna need is gonna need blades sharpened. What's the best affordable mower Jack for getting under the deck?

The floor jacks don't let me get the deck high enough by itself to use my impact driver I Have to add blocks Harbor freight has a great price on mower lifts and I see them for sale on FB marketplace used Never rely on a floor jack alone without back up support with jack stands

 

I put mine under the nose of the deck. Then slide a cinder block under the edge of the deck next to it.

 

For those with a Jungle Jack, would you feel it is more stable while working under a 750lb mower than a hydraulic jack?

 

I feel comfortable.

 

I use a Harbor Freight jack I bought 12 years ago or so...works awesome! It was a special sale at $79.00 then had a 20% super coupon come off that. As for feeling comfortable, the design on mine has 3 points of height where it locks into place...works awesome!

Considering the front ends of most ZTR's, even the heavyweights doesn't weigh much, it's probably good for most any normal commercial ZTR.
