What are a few of the best gps tracking systems for trailers as well as units small and robust enough to stay mounted on a mower?

Also please share some experiences with these as to how well they work in keeeping your equipment from wondering off to neverland...

I've wondered about this too. I know Verizon has a system.
Most all of them seem to have a monthly fee, I despise paying monthly fees.
Another question, how hard are they to disable.

Well you have to know it has a gps to begin with before you can disable
To my knowledge there is no “gps jammer” on the market.

Samsaran has “pucks” for lack of a better description that track equipment
I have yet to test them

However it seems more and more of this type of technology is emerging so whatever it is you want to do might not be available now, but in the next two years will very likely be.

6lb sledge is really effective against gps and rfid chips but will leave dents in sheet metal

If you want to steal lawn equipment for a living you don’t need my help. I’m used to eating steak and lobster not dog kibble. Steal something worthwhile, hot lawn equipment isn’t worth much
