The best specs I have found on a hand held blower (yes, there is a place for them), is the Stihl BG 85 @ 183/459. Anyone seen better ? thats MPH/CFM

Have four blowers. Had five. Stihl BG85, Red Max 2500 & 2600, and a Dolmar 250. Sold the old Tanaka to a cutter.

    Most powerful:
Red Max. 157 MPH/367 cu. ft./min. at the tube
Second is BG85. 183 MPH/459 cu. ft./min. at the blower housing.
Dolmar next. 165MPH/321 cu. ft./min. at the tube.

Lightest, quietest, and easiest to control (ez on wrist):
Dolmar was at 8.4 lbs. with the tubes on.
Red Max was 8.4 lbs. with the tubes off
BG85 was 8.8 lbs. with the tubes off.

    Tried Shindaiwa....heavier, harder to control.
Echo PB240....nice control, but lower power.

The Echo PB230LN offers 160 mph and 365fpm at the pipe, so it's up there for a handheld.

That Stihl hand held has a lot of power...quite impressive but I really don't use hand helds anymore....why would you????

For the dozen or so small jobs on my route that I don't feel like dragging out the Redmax 8000 to do.
