If the grass is good and dry, we grab the handheld instead of a backpack for more than half of our lawns (sidewalks and short driveways). We’ve been using an echo for four years...I forget the model number, but it was their professional/most powerful hh blower at the time. It has actually been excellent, seen a LOT of use, however even after some tlc, it’s not what it used to be. I know things change a lot in 4 years between EPA, mergers, etc..
looking for opinions/experience for what is currently on the market.

Maruyama’s BL32 looks to win the power to weight ratio. Anyone tried it?

No but I noticed if you get too much power on a hand held it is pretty hard to hold one handed
Might as well have a backpack then anyway

Power isn’t really the point of a hand held in the first place
I actually prefer wheel blowers and hand helds vs having backpack blowers

I've had one for 4-5 years now and it has never been in shop for anything.
Very reliable and powerful. My neighbor has a Stihl BG86 and we tried them side by side on some leaves last year...Maruyama BL32 stronger.

I also have an Echo PB 255 blower and its been pretty good, finally had to replace carb, which kept leaking fuel into crankcase, which caused me to blow crankcase seal out once when trying to start after sitting for a week or so. Crankcase had filled up with gas.

Too bad they don’t make the BG65 anymore. They are a great blower. I have one as well.
