Looking to get a new stick edger...what's the best?? Echo, Stihl, Redmax, Shindaiwa, Tanka???
You'll probably get a few replies for every brand you mentioned, and i'll get it started by saying that in my experience the Shindaiwas are about as good as they come. By an LE260 if you really have a ton of edging to do. Plenty powerful, but just a tad heavy. For everyday sidewalk/driveway/curb edging an LE 230 will do.
I own a stihl and Im well pleased with it. Stihl has the most dealers in my area and alot of people on here recommended them also. I cant comment on the other brands
The Shindaiwa LE260 / LE261 is our favorite as well... the extra power is nice when the edging has been let go. It's worth the few extra bucks over the 230.
Ditto in bold. If you go Stihl go with the FC110 you won't be sorry.
I too own the 110, it is a beast!!
kawisaki kel27a is a work horse .
Craftsman Electric!!!!!! #1
Well..I was leaning more to the Shindaiwa LE260....so good to hear its a good machine
The Echo PE-260 is a monster!
Tons of power to go through almost anything we throw at it.
