I do my normal yards, but I would like to ad one more to my fleet. mainly for regular triming, and for just a little clearing around my woodside.

I would suggest sticking with a two-stroke manufacturer. You will get better power-to-weight, less maintenance headaches, and excellent throttle response.

Look at Tanaka, Echo, or Redmax.

I agree 100 percent. Stick with the best 2 cycle equipment and you can't go wrong!

2 cycle engines use less gas than comparable 4 cycle/4 mix engines as well.

what? where did you hear that C-4 and 4-mix engines use more gas? my shindaiwa m2510 runs about 40 minutes longer than my T261. people usually get about 30% more fuel efficiency by using either the 4-mix or C-4.

I would recomend a shindaiwa T270 if you can get your hands on one. the absolute best trimmer made. period.

if not, I would look at the T3410x. it has awsome torque for the weight. runs quieter too.
