A lady wants a pathway cut through her ivy in her back yard to her back fence....

What would be the best way to build it without it being completely overgrown in a year?

I was thinking using the green metal edging, then filling with gravel and or stepping stones...

I think the only way will be to clear a path and then trim every few months...so I am working on getting her maintenance program as well...

    Any other suggestions?
