I'M looking At a John Deere, Dixie Chopper, and a Ferris with the independent Suspension, any comments would be appreciated. I do need a 72 inch because of the lawns I mow. Thanks for the help.

They are all good machines with some better features than others. You will get different anwsers on which mower is the best from ppl here, all three are decent companies but the one to get is the one that fits your needs best.

On lawns that need a 72, the speed of a chopper would be nice :blob3:

I run 3 797 JD's all 72" cut there is none better in my
opioin They are very Tough mowers take a lot of rough
terain Plus look at tire width and low seat height really good
on hills. The big advantage with deere is the resell value
,I trade mine every 2 years dealer gladly take them in trade
Ask the other makes dealers about trade value after 2 years
most will laugh at you. Won't take their on product in trade
says something about what they are selling. Good luck
    Charles :)

Hustler Super Z, with the speed get a 60 and a better cut than a 72" and finish faster. Are you cutting huge acreages that you have to have a 72" deck? Hustler also makes a 34 Cat with the 72" deck. Big Bad Machine! Good luck but demo the hustlers before you buy one you won't regret it.

Yeah, all the usual suspects :0

Hustler,SuperZ 72", with a 28EFI will be the very best, do a side -by -side comparison! The SuperZ's pumps and wheel motors are bigger than the others, and that is a clear advantage.

Have had 20 or so Ferris machines during the past 11 years...wouldn't trade 'em for the world. Need I say more?

The exmark 27hp diesel is a nice 72" machine. My buddy has 2 of them. The models (2001-2002) had some known defect though, I believe an issue with the pumps, but the newer one he has seemed to work fine (little downtime)
