I thought i had a good trailer lock until i lost the key. 5 seconds and it was off. Any suggestions for the best lock? Thinking of the alpha?:dizzy:

I like the Gorilla Guard. Have them on all my trailers. Previous lock, lost key same as you, bolt cutter cut through it like butter.

I really like the chrome Master lock that goes into the actual part where the ball would go from your truck...kinda hard to explain but you put it in there, close your top clamp down and then lock the key. Nothing to cut but still a key hole to pick.

I use a fulton universal gorilla lock and park my truck(s) around the trailer...

Only thing is if someones wants trailer more then you, doesn't matter what security you have ...Locks keep a honest man, (honest)..

This is the one i thought was good. 5 seconds a screw driver and a pair of vise grips. BINGO PRESTO!. A waste of money. I also was talking on the phone wehn i did it. I was amazed.

I have seen these and i do not like the key part. It may be a good one though.

I like this style for couplers, b/c you really cant pry it off or hit it with a sledge and theres really nothing to cut off of it.:

My glock and dog is all I need. Trailer is in the Garage though. No lock is worth a ****. I could just hook the chains up really short to my hitch and take it like that which I have.

Thats the one I was talking about PROTOUCH, the chrome on in the pic there. I use that lock and then put a heavy duty lock through the hole as well and then tangle the chains all up in it...I know an experienced theif wouldnt have a problem as this was evident when I lost my keys last year and locksmith got in both locks in half a minute....

This is probably your best bet. Can't pop the rim off cause it covers the lug nuts and it also acts as a tire chalk. Little pricey though at $260.
