1979 8HP Ariens Sno-Thro with the 26" Rotary mower attachment in place of the blower. It has had the rotary mower attachment attached for its whole life. I am the 3rd owner & I have the original owners manual & bill of sale. What do u think?

Do you plan on using that for mowing your customer's lawns? If you do, at least paint it up.

It is a single blade system. I don't plan on using it much, but once in a while to keep it working good. The chains were all ready on it, but my guess would be for cutting really tall grass, because the tires can get a little wet & slip. The guy I got it off of said that a few years ago he was offered $800 for it from a Ariens collector, but he didn't want to sell it at the time, so I was told not to paint it & to keep it original & not to take less than $1000 for it.

I have one of those.. But i have the other attachments also... Tiller, Snowblower, Mower and sickel mower. Works great.. It isnt that special i see them everywhere around here.. They work great for rough cutting.. Any old ariens snowblower can be used if you have the attachments....That is why there are chains on it...
