How many of you guys are members of the Better Business Bureau, BBB????

Any comments, experiences with their arbitration?? How much are your dues locally???

Ours are $350 first year and $275 thereafter.

I haven't had to go through arbritration, lucky any disputes are handled personally. Hopefully I will be able to say that again in a year.

I am planning on becoming a member - right after I check the box on the IRS form that states that I wish to pay extra taxes.

They are extortionists. They are of no value to you. Please send me your $375 instead. I will put it to much better use than the BBB.

I agree, they were not helpfull to me when a contractor screwed me out of my weeks worth of pay when I planted for him .I was helping him out and so were a bunch of college kids,he just never showed up to pay us on the last Friday of the job.Of course I dident have his home address, just his name and the name and P.O.box of his business. They told me they coulden't do a thing without the guys home address and neither could they put him on a complaint list.Who get's a guy they are helping out temporary for a week that is in a tight spot to be done by a deadline's home address?Called State contractors board
turns out he gave me a fake licence # so outa luck there too.

We had a problem with a building contractor last year.
He wouldn't fix the problem he caused doing a remodel at our house.
So, called the BBB and were told that he (the contractor) wasn't a member,
and they couldn't do anything since he wasn't a member.

So, if your'e not a member, you can't get in trouble with them.
