I am wondering how to find what seals (brands and part numbers)to use in the Gravely 40" 2-blade, 50" and 60" gear boxes that would hold gear oil better than the OEM seals.

Never had a problem with the OEM ones using grease. Only 60" decks that use oil are ones that run 25:26 gears on the Promasters, 900/9000 GMT and 24-G series. Key there is not to over fill.
