Sticks and mowers don't get along.

Here is some advice since several portions of the Country are experiencing severe T-Storms and wind damage. When sticks and small branches are on the ground, be cautious of what they can do to your mower.

I noticed the belt on my SuperZ shaking and wobbling a lot the other day. I had a vibration and couldn't quite figure it out. Deck idler was free and moving, and unit was cutting grass just fine.

Upon further investigation I found this....

Its a small 1" long piece of wood.

Not normally a problem until it ends up here!

    Wedged in your center pulley.

This was in there for at least 4hrs of mowing.

P.S. "Beware of sticks" version I and II were on previous mowers over the years.

Well I guess that would cause a problem.

    Nice mower.

Wow! 4"! Thats pretty big. Did your belt come off?

    Guess you changed your post.

He originally said he had a 4" piece of wood do this.

happens alot here with gumballs. during fall/winter cleanups, unless you blow them all off the lawn first, they constantly do that.

Yeap, happened three times so far with my Mini-Z. Either Sycamore or pine cones. Makes an awful racket when it gets in the pulley. First time I took it all the way to dealer. The times since, just backed it on trailer and got under there with screwdriver.

Guess that XR-7 has a weak point eh? Beware of large sticks getting stuck in the mower deck

Gotta check for that stuff. Vibration ruins spindles.

Is it safe to run over any size twig/stick? Usually if it looks small and thin enough that my mower will blast it into infinite particles of carbon, I annihilate it!
But where do you draw the line?
