Bid Help

Discussion in 'Lawn Mowing' started by MCGRAIL LAWN, Feb 20, 2003.

  1. OK I need some help

Right now I am a lawn mowing Company
This year we added Aeration and Dethatching

I was out to day going to businesses to place bids and stope at WALGREENS.

The managertold me to fax him a bid for:

    Weekly Lawn Mowing
    Pulling Weeds in Landscap beds
    Re-Mulching the beds.

I have never done much before
other than my house were my neibor who works for the city gave us 30 yards of mulch and dumped it in our drive. We shoveled it under our deck.

How do I bid this job.

    Thanks for the Help

To figure your mulch you have to measure the beds and get the surface area (Length X Width). Once you have a total surface area of all the beds you can then figure that one yard of mulch will cover a 100 square feet with a thickness of 2 inches. This is only mulch you would have to figure weed barrier as well.
Also to help you out you may want to check the landscaping forum. This is the lawn care forum. Just incase ya didn't know.
