I was wondering what percentage of mowing or mulch bids do most companies win? I have noticed criticism on the site for people winning most of their bids, ie they must be lowballers. My business partner is concerned we are not winning enough of our mulch bids, approximately 1/2.

So, what percentage of quotes do you actually win ?

About 75%, maybe a little more.

No way. I would hate myself if I won that many bids.

I aim for 30-50% depending on the service.

for mowing (only) less than 30% I price this high on purpose. I don't want it. (or I send it to my basic lawncare company)
For full service mowing about 30%
for mulch about 30% (below 20 yards) about 70% above 20 yards
for seasonal hedge trimming, sod installations (1000 ft sq or less), irrigation repair about 50%
    landscape installs about 40%
