I need opinions on the Billy Goat ...think about picking one up
Save your money...
I purchased a used unit and was lucky enough to sell it at no loss after using it for less than a week. Did my own lawn (slow and frequently plugged with twigs), used on customers lawns (slow and frequently plugged), did I mention Slow and easily plugged?
I moved on to Trac-Vac then Bluebird and now manufacturer spindle driven optional bagging systems (all superior to goat lawn sucker).
I never knew there was an alternative to the billy Goat. I have one, it is the the self propelled one. I like it. It is slow but does a good job. What ever you do, don't get one with the built in wood chipper. It is a 10 lbs blade connected directly to the crank, it has so much momentum that you kill the engine and it takes a full 30 seconds to stop spinning.
