Just a quick question, how long is the warranty on a dealer installed blade clutch? My Super Z is 3 years old, the dealer installed a new blade clutch a little less thatn a year ago and now it needs another new one.

Service parts carry a 90 day warranty.

If you need two clutch's in three years, you either are engaging and disengaging your clutch at full engine rpm's,(big no- no) or your dealer is not burnishing your new clutch in. I have a few customer's who have super z's with over 2500 hrs with the original clutch.

Can you please tell me how to burnish the clutch?

It should be in the Hustler owners manual.
But anyway it is a simple matter of bumping on the blades several times while not mowing.
By doing that it will seat the clutch material to the disc for good contact.
If you just go out and mow you would think you are doing the same thing. But it is under load cutting the grass and what happens is the clutch material gets glazed. So it will slip and get worse.
