on my scag 14 / 48 the toggle that i turn on for the blades to engage almost always after about 3/4 of an acre will some how turn it self to the off position. is there a limitor or safety switch on the clutch that when it gets under a strain or gets too hot will turn the blades off . if so what is the solution ? do i replace the switch ? the toggle ? or what ? the clutch is in great shape it never lags when i engage it and it never slips.
Sounds like the spring in the switch has weakened with time and is getting a little warm after running and popping it back off. I would suggest a new switch.
