Which blade grinder is the best for the money?
Look on the northern equipment site. They have a bunch of blade grinders in there, the main difference is power. It depends on how often you have to do blades.Hope this helps
allot depends on how often you are going to use it, how many blades you are going to sharpen at a time, if you're going to try to sharpen wavy mulching blades or not and the length of the blades cutting edge.
The smaller units usually won't sharpen the full length of a 20"+ blade if they are ground close to the center hole like exmarks and some scag blades.
RBG and Oregon blade grinders are similar in cost. The magnamatics are at the high end.
In the long run the Magnamatic is pound for pound and dollar for dollar the best. Much faster.
i have owned them all i like the magna matic itz fast heck we have two in the shop.
I've got the "little" oregon 1/2 HP grinder.
I am sure there are faster grinders out there, but mine does a pretty good job. If you can afford it, go with a larger grinder like a 1 or 1.5 hp model.
Okay time to eat crow,i have never used a Oregon they look like top grinders.
