I have a 2012 Hustler 60" X-One and was wondering if anyone had a cheap online supplier for blades. How much is a set, and what are your opinions on high lift for this machine? I'm looking to throw the clipping out a little farther than the factory blades are doing. My machine has 9 hours on it. 7 acres of Bermuda and fescue is what I mow every Saturday with mine. The property I mow is on a spraying program, so weeds are few and far between.

I always buy mine from the dealer. I got some high lift blades and they really help keep the deck clear

Thanks. I guess I'll buy a set of them and try them out.

i run hustler high lifts on mine. i put a cheap set of blades on it and it cut really bad and the blades wore out really fast. stick with the factory blades just get the hustler high lifts and you'll be good to go

The x-one comes with the high lifts new, so if you bought it new then you already have them. I could not come to terms with the way the vx4 deck discharged clippings. The clippings were spread out well but were under processed leaving a lot of them. I turned to their mulch kit and couldn't be happier. I have the Kaw 850 engine and it has plenty of power to mulch anything. There is nothing like a clean lawn after one pass, but it can slow you up a bit on large properties. The blades on eBay that you can get for $8.50 a blade are worth it in my opinion.
