I just put a brand new crate engine on my Super Z, 25hp Kawi. Runs great at full RPM but when I engage the blades they kill the engine. The PTO and everything worked fine when my last engine bit the dust. Suggestions?

DITTO, share the answer for other's future reference. I'm guessing something in the safety circuit.

Dead battery. Had enough to start the engine but not the blades. I just let it sit and run for about 15 minutes and it was fine...It had been sitting all winter in my shop.

Wow, it doesn't get much simpler than that. Thanx for the update, I would have not thought of that, to be honest.
