Blades killing engine

I just put a brand new crate engine on my Super Z, 25hp Kawi. Runs great at full RPM but when I engage the blades they kill the engine. The PTO and everything worked fine when my last engine bit the dust. Suggestions?

before you delete it.. what was the solution???
