blades shut off when grass is to tall on walker

    i Just bought a 1991 16hp walker for a spare and its old but runs ok but the blades stop when the grass gets a little thick. what could that be?

    Id check the tension on all belts .

    I would say it might be the clutch. It is an electric clutch. If it is too loose it will slip and burn itself up. There is an adjustment procedure for it.
