I was at The Bass Pro Shop and found a pair of their hunting boots on sale last spring. They still have plenty of sole left and are the most comfortable boot I have worn. I usually go through a pair of boots every 5 to 6 months. These were cheaper and have last longer than any pair I have used.

I wore logger boots the past two years. Two brands. First was Chippewa. Very very comfortable, however not 100% waterproof. Second was Cabelas gore-tex loggers. 100% waterproof, but not quite as comfortable. Right now I'm wearing Wolverine gore-tex lacers. Very comfortable and waterproof, but they're already blowing out. I just don't think they can hold up to the abuse I dish out to them.

Boots are in general one area that you really ought to spend enough to get something decent - as it's a great way to keep your feet in good shape. Make sure fit is good - much more important that appearance.

Exactly. I'd rather spend more on a good pair than save money and have foot problems.

I've started buying all my boots from tractor supply. they carry justin wolverine and several other brands, and for like10 bucks you get a two year warranty. If they wear out take em back pay another 10 bucks and get a brand new pair. As fat as i wear out boots its the only way to go. oh and by the way you can buy a warranty on the replacement boots so if ya wear em out you get another pair.
