can't remember if i switched it back and looking at the manual it looks opposite of how it should go. would think for winter the shutter should be over the hole and open for summer. idk, switched this thing the last few yrs and for some reason looking at it it's doesn't look right, thanks

The shutter should be open in the winter, to prevent Carb Icing. It should close in the summer to prevent fuel vaporization.

that's why it's like that, thanks. idk, it's marked to be that way on the blower and positive i've been running it that way the last few yrs but for some reason it wasn't making sense why it would be closed for the summer. saw the part in the manual bout overheating in summer and was thinking open would mean better airflow, less for winter. anyway, got to pick up something in a few days from a guy that sells these and get it right but in mean time thought i'd check in on the forum for some help.

On mine if you look closely there's like a snowflake and a sun on the positions... if I recall correctly. which reminds me, I need to reset mine...

i got to go back in, forgot how i set it the other day,,, but saw that the other day and is good how they have that.
