I was given a rider that has a Briggs 14.5 OHV. It will star and run but after a little while oil comes out of the breath hose(I think) and floods the carb and it quits. Does any know the problem? This machine was free so I don"t know if it is worth fixing.

First thing to check is to make sure oil isn't overfilled.
Next thing would be head gasket.
IF you remove the valve cover and run it "briefly". Often a bad gasket will be obvious by the "mist" pumping out each time the engine fires. Leaks are typically right next to the push rod area.
    Have a rag handy!
