Brown Tire Tracks???

Two of the yards I mow had brown tire tracks when I came back today after mowing them last Saturday. Not all over, but quite a few, right where I mowed. Two different kinds of grass, two different fertilizing companies... No signs were out last week that fertilizer had just been applied. The grass was starting to dry out a bit after a wet spring, but we had 5.0" of rain Wednesday. The other yards I mow did not get brown.

Any ideas what could have happened????

Sometimes if you mow a dry lawn the weight of the mower will damage the blades of grass. Wait till this next mowing and see if the blades are brown on the top and green on the bottom.
