I am planning on building a set of sides for my 4x8 trailer to carry mulch..etc.

I am slated to use stake pockets on the sides and 2x4's as supports. I am not sure what thickness plywood would be the best? It will be pressure treated.

I put temporary sides on my trailer during leaf season using 1/2" plywood. It's not treated either, I just painted it with good oil base paint.

I plan on having mine as temp. as well.

Do you think I could get away with untreated? Do they warp or bend much?

You dont have to use treated. On my 7x12', I have 2 foot sides. During the spring and fall, i put the full 4 foot siedes on. to keep them from bowing in while empty, and out when full, i put 4 joist hangers on them, ran 2 two by fours, and then put a couple of eye bolts and a ratchet strap to tighten it. Then stained the wood. It worked great, and looks professional.
