I was just wondering other opinions. I am going from hardwood bulk to shreaded pine bark
I use pine, i always buy bulk, 1/2 the price.
I always get bulk, because you don't have to deal with the hassle of opening numerous bags, and like punt said, it's usually way cheaper.
Bulk requires a purchase of 80 yds to get it cheap. Also u have to have a paved surface to not waste and with hardwood one custoer wants brown and the next wants black which does not stay looking good that Long. The pine mulch looks good for months and is not finely ground so weeds are less likely to take over. Pine cost me $28 yd retail ( 1 yd = 150-200sf), Hardwood cost $25 yd ( 1yd = 100-150SF)
What - you can't get shredded pine in bulk?
Sometimes bags are more convenient and easier to use. At those times use bags.
I get double ground pine for $18 yard
