I was mowing my yard today when a storm suddenly blew in. I parked my Skag down behind one of the storage sheds about 50 yards away from the house and made a run for it. Got inside just as the rain hit. Whew....!
Very windy for a little bit, rain blowing sideways against the house and windows. I thought I heard a 'crashing' sound by my shop...but it was hard to hear with all the wind and rain noise.
Once the rain stopped I went to investigate and found that 1/2 of a fairly large Hackberry tree (about 28" across) had split off and fallen on my Mower, my 12' utility trailer and one of my storage sheds. It didn't crush my mower, but the limbs did peel off part of the air filter assy. and mashed my seat down.
I'll have to get the chainsaws out tomorrow and cut the tree off of everything in order to assess the damages. It pretty much has my mower pinned down right now. I'm hoping it escaped mostly unscathed...since I just did a bunch of work to it.
