    What is the best software to use for billing, customer info, estimates, etc? Also is there such an animal that would also keep track of # of man hrs spent at maintenance accounts? I have roughly 160 res and 11 com acct.

    I would recommend quickbooks contractor edition. It has a little bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it it really makes life easy even during tax time.

    Plus 1.

    You have to enter hours on the job manually but you can assign expenses to jobs pretty easy.

    May start off with regular QB to learn it and then step up to pro later but just jump in and get going.

    I love being able to reconcile my accounts in about 5 mins each and assigning cost to jobs while I am at it.

    Now I am looking for add ons like GPS and scheduling software. Do not do this until you have full command of QBs

    I just started using service auto pilot. Very very worth it so far, just takes an initial investment to learn it, just like the first time you use microsoft word or excel.

    Looks good but pro contractor is $399 and you own it.

    Yes, if you want to pay $399 and have less to offer than Jobber. Does pro contractor have the ability for customers to make ePayments, Chemical treatment tracking, Route mapping, Website forms that integrate with your software, and accessible from any device including out in the field from a phone or tablet?

    I just started a free trial on service sidekick, I think it's what I've been looking for. Here's what I like about it:
    #1 It's so darn easy to use.
    #2 syncs with quickbooks in seconds
    #3 invoicing and estimates are extremely easy and fast to do.
    #4 helps with reminders on following up with costumers
    #5 the coolest thing about it is I can add jobs or tasks for specific employee and when I create the job or task. I can hit notify it sends them a text message and it also syncs with google calendar so every time you schedule something to an employee it shows up on thei calendar( my guys have iPhones do it shows up on their calendar within seconds...

    I've tried getjobber, service autopilot, gopherhaul, invoice2go/cloud2go/ scheduling honestly I didn't like them at all. Get jobber and service autopilot have awesome costumer service but but it did not work for me. I think everyone should give a free trial if they believe in their product

    Anyone using GetJobber online Program? Would love to hear your experience with using this program. I would rather buy the software than paying a monthly fee, but if it works really well it may be worth it. Let me know. Thanks
