I'm in the market for a new trimmer, one that I can edge with and hit grass around trees and spots the mower can't go. Does anyone have any suggestions on which brand and or model I should look into. Thanks.

Look at the sponsers on this forum to get an idea. Then research the ones that catch your eye. I have Shindaiwa trimmers and i really like them.

I like the husquevarna trimmer, you can buy them cheap at lowes, I've had mine for 3 years, but I don't think it's going to last much longer. I don't like stihl, they don't start easy.

I saw the Husquevarna trimmers at lowes, I guess your lasted for three years. That's what I was worried about, I want something that will last for at least five. But the price does make them very attractive. Thanks for the reponses.
