Trailer brakes are what stops the trailer
    Not the truck brakes

Do you think a tractor stops an 18-wheeler trailer?
    Hells no

F-150 can pull up to 10,500
T-190 skidsteer is 7500 ish pounds
Truck will do even better with a set of timbrens installed
So the answer is not kinda, maybe or it's not safe , but hell ya it will.

Like I said earlier , trailer brakes stop the trailer.
You got a calibrated brake controller?
You've got nothing to worry about

If you have a new F150 with the 5.0 eco boost it will tow 12,000 lbs. Like a bunch here already noted biggest issue will be breaking. definitely have duel trailer breaks. If you are mainly traveling on flat level ground probably ok. But if you have a lot of hills, 3/4 ton is better.

I rented a skid steer at HD and towed it with my F150 V6. I only had to go 5 miles with it and I will never do it again!

That 12,000 pound tow rating is only with a weight distributing hitch. I'll bet most people on here asking "Can this do that?" don't use a weight distributing hitch. And few rarely seem to mention that little caveat.

I never understand the post on here.. "Can my truck haul or pull this" It is really simple math. Do the math and that will answer your question. You need the weight of the machine and trailer. And the tow rating of your truck, along with the Max combined GVW.

Most Americans are in the "overkill" more is better mindset.
    It's a culture thing.
Can my 300 hp quad cab get a full load of groceries at Costco or do I need the powerstroke diesel?

    Translation

I'm looking to the internet to solve a disagreement I'm having with someone (usually wife) and I want to prove them I need to buy a bigger badder truck and I want strangers opinions without all the facts.

    Less common translation

I can't make decisions on my own without input from a hive mind.
All my real life friends know this about me and won't talk to me anymore, so please tell me what I want to hear so I can go to the dealership with a decision I can't make on my own.

Same translations work for most posts like "which color mower should I buy"
Or can a 48" mower cut more than an acre or will it disrupt the space time continuum?

Big time illegal. WAY over GVW for that truck. Braking will be a big problem, and you're gonna destroy the drive train on that little truck.
