Can "jumping the gun" be harmful?

Last week the weather warmed up to around 80 degrees and it was a record high for this time of year. Lawn trailers of every walk of life jumped up out of hibernation and roared to life. The grass is still in its dormant state and a lot of people were aerating, dethatching, scalping, and doing spring clean up. I'll be darned if it is not snowing outside today and has been all day. My question is this...can it be harmful to the grass if you scalp it, only to have it snow again?

Yes.

Scalping should be done in your area about the end of March me thinks the LCO's dont have a clue.

You didn't scalp anyone DID YOU.

No, thank goodness I had other obligations to fulfill such as work, and school. I even noticed they were doing it at the university.
