    I tried to find pictures of those 2 fungi you recommended and couldnt find any pics on the net that resemble mine.... please post links if you find any different!!


    Any other opinions???

    Another possibility, related to the above is Geopyxis vulcanalis

    From my experience it pops up one year then - nothing for years after. The mulch is in a particular state of decay that various fungi are most happy with. Can never see any harm done.
