I am looking for a way to adapt cannister filtration to my Kawi 19 on the TT, because, well, the stock filter simply sucks.

Anyone ever done this, or think it would be possible to implement some parts from exmark(IE one of their mowers with cannister filtration) for use in my application?

Your dealer should have a kit for the nelson canister conversion. I have the canister filter on my JD 647 and it uses a 19hp Kawasaki.

Just make sure you get the correct one for your application. Kawasakis carbs are very sensitive to air flow and I've seen them run really bad with just a turbo precleaner installed. See Meg-Mo's enginaire for a turbo precleaner.

99999-7040 is the Kawasaki part number for a cannister air filter kit. Be careful as the carb needs to be re-jetted after this install. I had the same kit installed on my 17hp TTHP 48" and have been very happy with it. The kit was about $300 installed.
