cant get trimmer head off shaft

    its an older echo the head wont come off, yes i know the spin off oppisite direction. what to do

    There is a slot and a hole just above the head that you put a 1/4" metal dowel in. This keep the shaft from spinning. Then just grab the head really hard and turn it in the opposite direction.

    Use the steel rod in the hole to block it, and if you have to put the head in the vice, then do it. Ity'll come off.

    i have the steel rod and still cant turn it, i dont have a vise.

    Exactly as stated above. I've had a bunch of echos and sometimes they can be very tight but grab a hold of it like you mean it.

    if the bumper head is wore off the you probably have dirt built up in it. the best way to get it off is with a screw driver. just pry that sucker off. :waving:
