Has anybody tried one? So they hold up? I was looking at either the 4.3 or 5.8 cuft model. I have always used grass gobblers but the catchrites look a bit nicer with the large handle on top.

I need a catcher for the scag w/b I just picked up. I would like an accelerator but I dont want to spend that much right now. Plus im pretty sure catchrite catchers are made right here on Long Island. None of my local dealers stock them but a dealer about 45 minutes away has them. Just trying to get opinions before I go look at them.

I think they are very well built and haven't had any complaints on the ones i sold.

I think I am going to pick one up. I just have to go look at them to see if I want the 4.3 or 5.8. Im afraid the 5.8 would be to heavy when full. I will report back after I go look at them.

Well, I picked up the 4.3 cuft one a few weeks ago. It seems to be very well built. I really like the full handle across the top. It makes it much easier to carry than my grass gobbler. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the paint job. It looked like it had been rushed cause none of the inside corners were painted. I know its just a catcher but I would still like it to be painted evenly, so I took a rattle can and painted all of the corners and touched up the few scratches.

Is that catcher made of steel or aluminum?

Its steel. I wanted an accelerator but I didnt want to spend the money as I am not sure how long I am going to keep the scag I put it on.

I bought one this spring and it works excellent. It's steel, but the weight is not bad at all. It packs well too.

The price is right too at $199 plus shipping. Not bad for a Made In USA product.

Its heavier than the Grass Gobbler and the mesh holes are larger too which equals more dust on you!! But overall if your looking for a pretty cheap bag it does a good job.
