change grinding wheel

    how do you change the grinding wheel on a 9000. it syas turn it clockwise with the tool provided. how do you get the wheel to stop turning and get it loose?

    You are correct in the direction to turn the arbor nut, you must block the wheel with a block of wood, or hold it with your hand (always use heavy leather gloves if you do this.)

    Also note if you purchased your MAG-9000 from Nov 2005 to present you will have a 2nd wrench to hold the arbor from behind.

    i used to use the 8000 at the lawnmower dealership i worked at. the easiest way for me to change blades on the machine was to put the tool on the arbor nut and spin the blade hard to the LEFT.... acting sort of like an impact gun. when the tool handle hits the table it will force the nut loose.
