Im changing my biz name to something more professional, its time to invoice all customers, there all residential customers, im thinking of just sending an invoice, same template as before but with new biz name listed as pay to... you think that would cause me any problems? Like customers thinking ive sold out or something.

I did that back in 2001 with my first company. I just changed the name on the invoices and my customers caught on pretty quick.

I did the same thing a few years ago.
I just attached a note to let them know it was still my company and we had just changed our name and if they had any questions to give us a call.
It went smoothly, just some customers had to change our name in their auto payment systems, but no problems.

    Customers don't like surprises.
Definitely send out a separate letter, a few days before invoices go out explaining "new name, same blah blah blah" also toss in a new business card.

It is also a good time to hit 'em up for new or additional services. (when is'nt? payup )
