Anyone have experience doing this that can help me.
what engine? in any case...1) go to auto parts store. 2) purchase Haynes manual for this vehicle. 3) go to section on water pump replacement.
if you're going to do repairs on this vehicle, you really need this book. best 20 bucks you'll ever spend. might find it cheaper on ebay...ive gotten some for a buck.
Sorry, how stupid. It is a 2.8L V6. Also, I would not usually attempt to do my own repairs, but this looks fairly simple.
Water pumps arent too hard at all. Its just a bit time consuming, and your working in a relatively tight spot. I'm right with oldrustycars, buy a repair manual. The Haynes manuals do sometimes glaze over some specifics, but they do give you a good idea of what to expect. Just take your time, paying attention to where things go when its time to put it all back together.
