I'm all for trying different types of advertising and also letting others know what doesn't work. In my opinion CitySearch is an utter and total scam. The SOB's will milk you like a cow. If you commit $400 to advertising on a pay per click basis they will claim you have received the clicks required to suck your account dry. I think if you committed $10,000 they would claim you had the clicks required to empty your budget.

Here I am in Texas in the slowest part of the year with a drought that has totally killed the landscaping side of the business. But yet some how CitySearch has managed to tell me that they generated the 187 clicks in back to back months required to drain my $400 budget. How many calls do you think I received from my 374 clicks? Try one frickin call.

Stay the hell away from CitySearch.com which is run by Citygridmedia.com.

I have now found there is a class action lawsuit against CityGrid filed by Kabateck Brown Kellner in CA.
